1. Concept of Non-Violence emerged from Bihar

When non-violence word appeared lots of us natural thinking goes to Mahatma Gandhi but prior to Gandhiji, Lord Budha and Lord Mahavira spread the non-violence to the world from the land of Bihar. teaching of non-violence is taught about 2600 years ago which is much ancient teaching in the history of mankind. Bihar is also birthplace of two ancient religion which is Jainism and Buddhism.

2. Oldest Hindu Temple In Bihar

Bihar is the home of oldest Hindu temples in India but there is some argument and oblivion about this fact. this is Mundeshwari Temple, In Kaimur District. it is also considered as one of the oldest Hindu temple which is still functional. After a study of broken Mundeshwari inscription of Brahmi script and its two parts found in 1891 and 1903 by Bloch(Now kept in Kolkata Museum) historian stated that temple is earlier than 4th Century AD.

Bihar is birth place of 10th guru of Sikh, Guru Govind Singh. Birth Place is holy site famously known as Takht Shri Harmandir Sahib. He was Guru, spiritual master, warrior, poet and philosopher. Guru Govind Singh was installed as the leader of Sikhs at the age of nine.

Bihar often considered as a land of labourers because in most states you will find them working as labour. But we should appreciate the fact that they are hardy enough to adapt themselves to any situations. Chhath is festival which is very much sacred in Bihar and people celebrate it very cautious. street, roads and bank of river is sanitized and cleaned to celebrate this pious festival. Bihar and Chhath is very much synonyms and famous worldwide.

So much to offer when it come to cuisine of Bihar, range of dishes is so large with different variety that a separate article need to be written to describe in detail but in short apart from famous Litti Choka there is Kadhi Bari, Khichadi, Ghugani, Pittha, Sattu etc in traditional Cuisine.

Sag, Kofta, Bharwan Karela, Korma, Palak Paneer etc in vegegerial cuisine. Champaran Meat, Prawns, Mutton Biryani, Bihari Kebab etc in Non-Veg cuisine. Alloo Paratha, Sattu Paratha, Makuni etc in Bread. Chhat, Phuchka, Chatni, Pakora, Raita etc in appetizer. Various type of sag is also reminds Bihari taste. Khaja, Chhena, Tilkut, Malpua, Rabri, Kheer, Thekua, Anarsa etc are famous in Sweets.

12. World’s Largest Wi-Fi Range

Once Known as backward State, Bihar has now introduced the 20KM free wi-fi zone, the longest across the globe. earlier China 3.5 KM zone was treated longest in world. Wi-Fi facility is provided at all the tourist spot of Bihar.

13. Tourist Destination

Bihar should be destination of every tourist because there is lots of tourist destination. bihar witnessed birth of Lord Mahavira and Lord Buddha so it is dream destination of Buddhist and Jains. every year Sikhs came to patna to take grace of his tenth Guru. Mahabodhi Temple, Barabar Cave, Takht Sri Harmandir ji, Tomb of Sersah suri, Maner sarif, Bodhi tree there are many destination which can be explored. each place has different story attached. Bihar is also famous for Mugal Architecture.

14. Bihar is Among the Most Fertile Land of The World

Bihar Plane is most fertile among the fertile plane of the world. it is mainly a vast stretch of very fertile flat land. it is drained by Ganga River, Sone River, Budhi Gandak, Chandan, Orhani and Phalgu. so many river is positive part for being most fertile land but the sad part is Bihar is also India most flood pron state as 76% of population live under threat of flood.

15. Bihar The First Republic

Vaishali invented the first republic of the World. Those republics were known as Maha Janapadas, and among these states were Vaishali. Vaishali derives its name from King Vishal of the Mahabharata age. Chinese Explorer and Traveller Fa-Hian(4th Century AD) also mention vaishali in his writings.
